The Covid-19 pandemic had an unprecedented impact on the cultural, social and economic life of the EU in 2020.

Creative Europe Monitoring Report 2020 looks at how the Creative Europe programme contributed to the coping, recovery and forward-looking of Europe's cultural and creative ecosystem

The report highlights the main policy initiatives adopted in 2020 with the support of Creative Europe.

In particular, high-level coordination meetings with Member States, the implementation of flexibilities to address new and evolving needs of beneficiaries and the political agreement between the European Parliament and the Council on the Commission's proposal for a new Creative Europe programme in 2018.

The report also illustrates how the policy was put into practice with the effective implementation of Creative Europe and the full implementation of the existing budget, as well as the consistently high capacity.
