"The Next Circle" by Danish director Thomas Vinterberg tells the story of a strange experiment by four schoolteachers. They decide to experiment on themselves to see if life is more livable and the results are better if they are in a mild state of alcohol. Initially, everything is on the rise, but gradually it becomes clear that bold decisions can also have unintended consequences.
"The Next Circle" was selected for the 2020 Cannes Film Festival, voted the film best screenplay of the year by the European Film Academy, and was recently recognized with an Oscar for Best Foreign Film Film.
