On April 1 and 2 at 19:00, a joint project of 45+ dance artists from seven countries, RAZDEDAUCH, created as part of the project "BET – Body, Experience, Time through 45+ dancers" supported by Creative Europe, will premiere at the Sakala 3 Theatre House. The project involves dance artists and dance institutions from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Norway, Sweden, England and Estonia, and the lead partners are Fine5 Dance Theatre from Estonia, association PARTY from Latvia and Stellaris DansTeater from Norway.

The manifesto of dance artists is that dancing is a lifelong creation, learning and activity. Although the production creation process was influenced by the limitations of the recent past, the range of project themes is meaningful in a broad sense: participants were interested in the boundaries within and around us, limitations as barriers and catalyst. Demarcation binds and makes visible a person's personal experiences and the history he carries within himself. Against the backdrop of events taking place in the world, this creative process has been a journey of thought about the human soul, its boundless nature, the need for understanding and physical intimacy in a finite world through a 45+ age perspective. The dancers participating in the project are between the ages of 45 and 65.

The production's name, RAZDEDAUCH, comes from an incident years ago when the host of a gala performance ushered in Pas de deux from ballet...., but accidentally pronounced "Raz de dauch" instead of "Pas de deux"- similar to the Russian spelling of the words. This misunderstanding of language can also be interpreted as a "creative interpretation" that still happens in a multilingual environment. But this story prompted reflection on the daily work and creative opportunities of dance artists in different countries, the role, communication and status of different arts in the cultural picture. There is a paradoxical tension and playfulness in it and a desire to make yourself understood.

The participants of the production are: Olga Zitluhina, Ramona Galkina and Vilnis Birins from Latvia, Goda Laurinavičiūtė from Lithuania, Virpi Juntti and Oleg Ostanin from Finland, Fiona Millward from the United Kingdom, Toby Gunn from Sweden, Solveig Lenan- Hermo and Nikolay Schetnev from Norway and Tiina Ollesk and Renee Nõmmik from Estonia.

Performances in Tallinn on April 1 and 2, 2022 will take place in cooperation with: Sakala 3 Theatre House, Hans Gunther Lock, Gerhard Lock, Kalle Aasamäe, Ants Kurist, Ando Richter, TLU BFM's IKUMUMU and choreography curricula and students of the EAMT and EKA sound production course.

RAZDEDAUCHI's next performances will take place in Latvia, Lithuania and Norway.

The activities of the cooperation network are supported by: Creative Europe, Estonian Ministry of Culture, City of Tallinn, Latvian Ministry of Culture, Tanssiteatteri MD (Tampere, Finland), Hammerfest Commune (Norway), Nordic Culture Point, Arts Promotion Centre Finland.
