The LUX Prize for European Cinema Audiences , which was created years ago on the initiative of the European Parliament, aims to highlight and bring to the public three gems of cinematography from the past year and to recognise one of the best with the award. The three nominated films will be subtitled in all official European languages to make them even more accessible to cinema audiences.
The three nominees for 2022 are Jasmila Žbanić's "Quo Vadis, Aida?" ("Quo vadis, Aida?"), Jonas Poher Rasmussen's "Flee" ("Escape") and Sebastian Meise's "Grosse Freiheit" ("Great Freedom").
All film enthusiasts can vote for their favorite until May 25, 2022 on the website https://luxaward.eu/et.
The LUX Audience Award is awarded by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy in cooperation with the European Commission and the European cinema network Europa Cinemas.
