"On Europe Day, it is appropriate to reflect on European values and what threatens them. Ukraine, which had turned its gaze to the west, got a knife in the east and is at war with Russia over values that we have long taken for granted. I invite everyone to the cinema to enjoy the art of Ukrainian filmmakers and to donate the money that would otherwise go to the ticket to those who need it most at the moment," explained Tiit Terik, Minister of Culture, in a press release.

At 17:00 in the lobby of the Artis cinema, a welcome bite from Ukrainian cuisine, before the film at 17.30 there will be a discussion on the topics of free media and Russian propaganda. Media expert Andres Jõesaar, Head of the European Commission Representation in Estonia Vivian Loonela and Minister of Culture Tiit Terik will speak. The event is free, you can register your participation until May 8 here.

The film program "Glory to Ukrainian filmmakers" has a background for everyone, the program is organized by Kino Artis, Dark Nights Film Festival, Creative Europe Estonian Information Point, ETV and Kino Sõprus.
