MEDIA-funded film O2 hits cinemas

This week, the domestic spy thriller "O2", the development of which has been co-funded by the Creative Europe MEDIA programme with €30,000, will premiere and hit cinemas.

"O2" is a spy thriller about intelligence officer Feliks, who hunts a murderous traitor in the Estonian special service on the eve of World War II. At the same moment, Hitler and Stalin conclude a secret agreement that leaves Estonia at the mercy of its aggressive eastern neighbor.

The film is directed by Margus Paju, screenwriters Tiit Aleksejev, Eriikka Etholén-Paju and Tom Abrams, main operator Meelis Veeremets and artist Jaagup Roomet.

The film is supported by the Estonian Film Institute, the Ministry of Defence, the Cultural Endowment of Estonia, the City of Tallinn, Tallink, Tradehouse, Olerex, Creative Europe MEDIA Programme, Viru Film Fund, Tartu Film Fund, Latvian Film Institute, Lithuanian Film Institute, Finnish Film Institute, YLE, AkzoNobel, Baltic Workboats, D'Difference, Goldwell, Hestia Hotel Group and others.
