The Estonian Chamber of Culture announces a competition for the Kultuuri Tegu 2019 award, the aim of which is to recognise people in Estonian society whose activities are inspiring, forward-looking and worthy of public attention, but who have not yet found wider recognition.
We are waiting for nominations to be submitted by March 1, 2020 at tegevjuht@kultuurikoda.eu with the keyword "Act of Culture".
Candidates can be submitted by all residents of the Republic of Estonia. From among the submitted candidates, the Board of Trustees of the Chamber of Culture selects five nominees, who are then voted on by the membership of the Chamber of Culture.
Any cultural act performed in 2019 that meets the following criteria is eligible for the nomination:
The award has been awarded since 2014 in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture. The prize is 5000€.
In 2020, for the first time, one of the Prizes of the Work of Culture will be dedicated to the memory of the late artist Peeter Allik (28.06.1966-31.12.2019). The "Act of Culture 2019" awards will be presented at the annual conference of the Estonian Chamber of Culture "Culture as Capital" on March 21 at the conference center of the hotel "Hilton".
